About Us

The Council brings together representatives from the 3 areas of London (together with representatives from other sectors, as appropriate) to share leadership, inform development of LHL strategy and coordinate its effective and sustainable implementation. It serves as the interface between HEE Library Leads, NICE, the pan-London level and local practitioners, supporting the Strategic Library Services Development Manager and eKAT by ensuring that strategy translates into local practice, and supporting library staff and stakeholders by ensuring that local needs and interests are reflected in London and national policy.

Role

  • To input to development of strategy and policy, by advising the Strategic Library Services Development Manager
  • To coordinate implementation of strategy, business plans and projects
  • To mandate work streams to address gaps and future developments
  • To facilitate effective communication at all levels – with and between NHS London, HEE Library Leads, NICE, library and information staff, NHS and non-NHS stakeholder organisations and other national and pan-London group
